Why Bother with Real Estate Marketing? It’s Just Too Much Work

Embrace the Non-Success of Lazy Realtors – A Realtor’s Guide to Minimal Effort in Real Estate

Let’s face it, realtors – marketing your real estate business is a total drag. Who needs all that extra effort? Certainly not you, right? I mean, why would you want to put in the work to grow your real estate career when you could just coast by on the bare minimum? Everybody else does.

The Lazy Realtor’s Guide to (Not) Marketing

Forget Content Marketing

Content marketing for real estate? Please. Who has time to write blog posts, create videos, or share market insights? Your potential clients can figure out the local real estate market on their own. They’re smart cookies, right?

Ditch Those Pesky Meetings

Setting up meetings with contacts? Networking? Ugh, what a hassle. Who needs more people in their life to worry about? Certainly not a busy realtor like yourself, tee time’s at 3. Just stick to your comfort zone and hope for the best.

Newsletters Are So Last Century

For the love of Mary, don’t start a newsletter. That’s way too much extra work. Who needs to keep their clients informed about the latest in ultra-luxury real estate trends or loan programs for first-time home buyers? Not you, that’s for sure.

Ignore Those Website Leads

You know what? Your website isn’t even set up to collect leads anyway, so don’t even bother following up with that lead you accidentally got from your website. It probably won’t lead anywhere anyway. In fact, why answer your phone at all? It’s probably just your mother asking for something.

The Race to the Bottom in Real Estate

Our society seems to be in a race to the bottom, so why not sprint towards it in your real estate career? It’s a trend actually. Farmers are paid to not farm, and people are paid not to work, so it’s a trend. Go with it.

In fact, you and I both know you’re not trying to succeed anyway. But don’t worry, I won’t tell anyone about your lack of effort, it’ll be our little secret.

Embrace Mediocrity in Your Real Estate Career

You don’t need a million dollars a year from your real estate business. Heck, you don’t even need a hundred thousand. Why not aim for a cool $20K to $40K annually? You could do real estate now and then, in between your shifts at Starbucks. Easy peasy!

Advertising is for Suckers

Marketing and advertising your real estate services? What a waste of money. No one will actually click on your ad or call that number anyway. So don’t even bother. You’ll get a referral… I’m sure of it.

Join the “Organic” Real Estate Revolution

We’re all about that “organic” growth in real estate, right? No extra work, no setting meetings or lunches, no following up with contacts. Just sit around and wait for the next ultra-luxury real estate buyer or seller to fall into your lap. And it will happen, I’m sure of it. After all, we’re organic, right?

Misery Loves Company

And don’t even feel bad about any of this, misery loves company, and you’re in very good company. In fact, most people these days don’t even do the minimum.

It is a race to the bottom in every field, including real estate, and the racetrack is crowded, and non-business is a-boomin.

And I’m not throwing stones either. I have the new Tony Robbins book sitting on the shelf behind me. Do you think I’ve read it? F-No. I also just bought the Wim Hof breathing method. Do you think I’ve even cracked it open? Hello-No. Do I spend the extra money I have on advertising my marketing business? What? Forget it Charly, I’m growing “organically” like you, hanging my hat on referrals. We’re “organic” together. In fact, we’re all “organic” aren’t we?

Who Needs Personal Grooming Anyway?

And don’t even worry yourself about the gym or going for a jog. It’s okay to look ungroomed and unfit in real estate anyway. All that hype about looking your best is just the ego of some overachieving realtor. Forget ’em.

It was all handed to them anyway. You and I know it’s just because they’re privileged. So don’t worry about it. Your ultra-luxury real estate clients won’t mind a disheveled, out-of-shape agent representing their multi-million dollar properties.

But what if…?

So if you don’t want help with marketing, then don’t contact CrossCopywriting.com, I might not even call you back. Depends on how I feel.
