Real estate is currently undergoing a significant change, so now more than ever it’s important to have a solid grasp of marketing strategies to stand out and succeed. With a shrinking inventory and a growing pool of new realtors, it’s no longer just a matter of out-working the competition, now you have to out-market them too.
It doesn’t matter if you’re just starting or a seasoned pro, having a robust marketing plan is crucial to attract new clients and grow your brand. Some marketing tools are basic, things that we think everybody knows, but it’s still worth listing them because I’ve seen firsthand realtors not paying enough attention to these basic steps.
Please don’t leave these basics up to chance, such as your website. Pay attention to them, because it’s where you collect new leads.
Here are 25 effective real estate marketing ideas to help you bring in qualified buyers and grow your business. Again, some are obvious, but still worth talking about, and others are not so obvious, but very effective if done right.
I know you know that you need a website. But many realtors either don’t do it, or just do a quickie and they never set it up to collect new leads. I always harp on my clients to AT LEAST create a good call to action and set up a way to collect the leads that come in. Because LEADS DO COME IN THROUGH YOUR WEBSITE.
A professional website serves as your digital storefront, showcasing your listings and expertise to prospective clients. Regularly update your site with fresh content and incorporate value-added features like mortgage calculators to engage visitors and keep them coming back.
What the heck is a blog for anyway, and why should you even care? It’s important for one huge reason. It shows prospective clients that you know what you’re talking about. It positions you as an industry expert, someone who knows the industry well enough to give advice about it, which more people can’t do. So if you have a lot of articles and posts on your site, you obviously know your stuff.
The short and skinny of it is, start a blog to establish yourself as an industry expert and attract organic traffic through search engine optimization (SEO).
This is how people doing a Google search for real estate information come across your blog and website. This is where you share valuable insights, industry news, and tips for home buyers and sellers to build credibility and trust with your audience. Then Voilà, instant credibility — You’re an industry expert and that person now trusts you and is likely to call you.
Pretty cool, huh?
